These process aids are applied in the following areas of the brewing process: Wort clarification: Brewhouse copper finings promote hot trub compaction in the whirlpool or copper. Reducing losses by releasing a higher volume of clarified wort for fermentation and cold break removal where wort proteins associated with poor beer filterability and colloidal instability are removed.
Beer clarification: Including isinglass and auxiliary finings, our range of clarification aids can be applied to fermented beer to increase the pace of yeast and protein removal from beer. This reduces the time taken for cask beer to clarify, increases the volume and speed through the beer filter and improves the turnaround of vessels.
Antifoam: Our range of Antifoams are specifically designed to minimize foaming in kettle and fermenter ,thereby improving vessel utilization as well as hop utilization.
Beer stabilizers: A complete package for beer stabilization. Including Silica gels and PVPP to protect against colloidal haze, binding and removing specific proteins and poly phenols which combine to shorten shelf life.
Foam stabilizers: Our high performance foam stabilizers ensure longer lasting head retention by promoting foam positive proteins while guarding against foam negative ones.
Antioxidants: Scavenging dissolved oxygen, our antioxidants acts to protect flavor, as well as preventing further oxidation and staling in package. Ensuring a full shelf life is achieved.
Alphaclar S is a single –use cross linked polyvinylpyrroidone (PVPP). It is a colloidal haze stabilizer which can increase the shelf life of beer. Alphaclar S absorbs the haze-active polyphenols which would otherwise react with haze-active proteins in filtered beer to form colloidal haze during storage.
Alphafloc isinglass paste is produced from the clean maws of certain types of fish. These fish maws contain about 98% collagen on a dry ash-free basis. The paste form of isinglass comprises finely divided isinglass in an aqueous base with sodium metabisulphite as preservative. The fish maws are subjected to vigorous cleaning followed by wet size reduction via processing which avoids heat generation (thereby avoiding thermal degradation of the collagen).
The ready for use isinglass produced from the paste is added to beer at the end of fermentation to speed maturation and improve filtration by removing yeasts and protein particles. For ease of use Alphafloc paste is supplied with the necessary acid and preservative in a separate sachet. Alphafloc viscosity is typically around 50-60,000 cP.
BRITESORB BK 75
Britesorb BK 75 is a non-macerating silicic acid hydrogel. Optimal grain distribution and pore volume in addition to a large surface area create the requirements for good protein adsorption in beer stabilization.
Britesorb BK 75 is chemically inert, dust-free and is not attacked by either water or beer or silicic acid. Its use therefore does not breach German beer purity regulations and is permitted according to the provisional Beer Tax Law §9, section.
Britesorb BK 75 has a very short reaction time: protein adsorption is completed within a few minutes. Britesorb BK 75 can be used both for flow contact stabilization and for tank stabilization. Longer contact times have no disadvantageous effect. Britesorb BK 75 facilitates long filter life.
Compac CG is the semi-refined, granulated form of the seaweed species Eucheuma cottonii.
Drifine is purified isinglass, which employs improved disruption technology to yield a product with the unique combination of optimum dissolving and performance characteristics. Drifine is added to wine at the end of fermentation to speed clarification and improve filtration by removing yeasts and particulate matter.
Drifoam is a powder form of propylene glycol alginate produced by the esterification of alginic acid. It is designed to give a trouble free method of enhancing and protecting beer foam.
Many years of development have been undertaken to identify both the ideal blend of seaweed species required to yield alginic acid of the necessary quality, and to optimize the critical esterification stage.
The resulting Drifoam is free from the technical problems associated with the less technically refined products on the market.
Foamsol is a water based emulsion of dimethylpolysiloxane designed to control foams produced in kettle and fermenter.
Vicant SB is an antioxidant and anti-browning agent designed to enhance flavour and colloidal stability in beer. It is a white, crystalline powder which is fully soluble in water.
Vicant SB supplies sources of sulphur dioxide and ascorbate.
VICFINE BEER CLARIFICATIONS
Vicfine is purified isinglass in convenient powder form. It is added to beer at the end of fermentation to speed maturation and improve filtration by removing yeasts and protein particles. For ease of use Vicfine in its standard form includes the necessary acid and preservative already blended.
Protofine is a food grade product designed to promote the flocculation and precipitation of yeast and protein complexes during cold storage of beer.
VICANT SBX (SBX511) is a new generation of highly effective, multi-component beer anti-oxidant designed to give maximum protection against the oxidative deterioration of beer in the package. It is a beige powder that is soluble in water.

Compac CG Tablets contain the semi-refined, granulated form of the seaweed species Eucheuma cottonii.
Cryofine contains purified isinglass in convenient powder form. It is added to beer at the end of fermentation to speed maturation and improve filtration by removing yeasts and protein particles. For the purposes of rapid dissolving, enhanced performance and long shelflife, the production of Cryofine involves improved disruption technology to enhance dissolving.
Protosol is a specifically selected colloidal silica sol, which promotes sedimentation of proteins and other solids from beer and wort. Protosol effectively clarifies wort and beer at very low addition rates, enabling increased throughput of your brewery without the need for investment in tank or filtration capacity.
